Course Educational Objectives:
Upon course completion, participants will be able to:
- Describe the fundamentals of aligner tooth movement, including force-driven versus displacement-driven systems.
- Apply ideal digital treatment plan design methods for aligner-eligible malocclusions.
- Design force systems using either optimized attachment solutions or conventional mechanics for conditions such as deep bite, open bite, Class II, Class III, and early treatment cases.
- Plan detailed design applications for adolescent aligner treatment, including cases where Phase 1 movements are indicated.
- Develop strategies for managing refinements and occlusal finishing unique to aligner treatment.
Identify business planning considerations to increase practice aligner delivery.
Course Prerequisites: Participants are expected to comprehensively understand orthodontic biomechanics with at least two years of full-time orthodontic practice and advanced training. Participants must have completed at least two years of full-time orthodontic specialty training within a certified university residency program.
